LILLIPUT EXTENSION
Overview: This is a large house in Lilliput with a disproportionate sizes kitchen/dinner. The client wanted to extend and increase the living space and add a bedroom.

Brief: To extend the kitchen into the space that was currently occupied by a conservatory. A two story side extension adding a large utility room and upstairs a large master bedroom with en-suite bath and shower room and a separate dressing room.
Criteria: This project needed to be designed in order for it to be constructed in stages.
First stage: kitchen/dinner/family room.
Second stage: upstairs master/en-suite/dressing room on stilts.
Third stage: laundry/utility room. Thus creating a car port underneath the master bedroom.
The kitchen style has framed white shaker doors to include a separate pantry, American fridge freezer, two eye level ovens, built in microwave, induction hob and a large island with sink and drinks fridge. A good sized dinning table and a lounge area that looks out onto the rear garden.
The Laundry room has the same cabinet door style as the kitchen with raised washing machine and tumble dryer. Floor space for ironing, a rail for hanging garments and a large butler sink.
The master bedroom has french doors that lead out onto a balcony which over looks the rear garden.

A king size bed take center stage with a sofa and TV located at the end of it.
A separate walk-in wardrobe and dressing room with window looking out to the front of the house. Next to this is an en-suite which includes a roll top bath and walk-in shower area.
This part of extension had restricted ceiling heights in areas so designing it required thoughtful placement of zones.
